Belt Up Baby is a child restraint device for use in public transport, such as taxis, where an approved car seat is unavailable and not required by law. It is not intended as a replacement for an approved car seat.

We are sure that many parents have been left with no practical alternative but to simply hold their young child on their lap in a taxi, whether they are on holiday abroad or simply going shopping.

It is light, very portable and easy to use, it has been designed to provide busy and responsible parents with a safe alternative to travelling with an unrestrained infant on their lap.

It has been extensively tested at TRL, the leading child safety centre in the UK, using the same crash conditions that are applied to approved child cars seats. The results of these tests have clearly shown that Belt Up Baby can save the lives of children who might otherwise travel unrestrained on their parent’s lap.
